Educational Qualification for MH CHO 2025

Candidates must have one of the following degrees from a recognized university/institution:

  • B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
  • B.U.M.S. (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
  • B.Sc. Nursing
  • B.Sc. in Community Health

Additional Requirements

  • Internship must be completed before the last date of application.
  • Valid Registration Certificate with Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine (MCIM) or Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC).
  • Candidates failing to upload proof of internship or registration will be disqualified.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus – NHM CHO 2025

The exam will be Computer-Based (Online) and consist of 100 MCQs for 100 marks.

  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Marking: +1 per correct answer, no negative marking
  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 45 marks required to pass

Selection Process

  1. Online Written Exam (100 marks)
  2. Document Verification for shortlisted candidates
  3. 6-Month Bridge Course Training (certificate program)
  4. Exit Exam after Training – must be passed for final posting
  5. Final Appointment as CHO under NHM Maharashtra

Allotment of training centres and postings will be done on merit basis and cannot be changed later.


Salary and Benefits of CHO in Maharashtra

Training Bond and Service Tenure

  • Minimum 3 years of service as CHO.
  • Bond amount: ₹1,03,000 (to be submitted before joining).
  • 90% attendance required during training.
  • Failing the Exit Exam twice will result in disqualification.
